Removing

Remove front section of transmission housing

Remove differential (1) from rear section of transmission housing (2)

 Check differential (1) for signs of damage and wear, replace if necessary.

When replacing the differential (1), the gear wheel of the output shaft (3), which merges with the differential (1), must be checked and if necessary the output shaft (3) replaced.

Remove radial shaft sealing rings of axle shafts

When replacing the differential (1).

Remove tapered roller bearing outer race from front section of transmission housing

When replacing the differential (1).

Remove tapered roller bearing outer race from rear section of transmission housing (2)

When replacing the differential (1).

Install

Install tapered roller bearing with relevant tapered roller bearing outer races

If the differential (1) was replaced.

Assemble output shaft (3)

When the output shaft (3) was replaced.

Insert differential (1) into rear section of transmission housing (2)

Install front section of transmission housing
