Remove/install radial shaft seals of axle shafts (transmission removed)

Removing

Using a suitable tool, lever radial shaft sealing ring (3) out of the front section of transmission housing (1) or radial shaft sealing ring (4) out of the rear section of transmission housing (2)

 Do not damage the front section of the transmission housing (1) or the rear section of the transmission housing (2), as otherwise leaks may occur.



Install

Carefully drive radial shaft sealing ring
(3, 4) using the drift into the front section of the transmission housing (1) or the rear section of the transmission housing (2)

 The radial shaft sealing ring (3, 4) must fit flush with the front section of the transmission housing (1) or the rear section of the transmission housing (2).


