 	Remove/install
Danger!	Risk of explosion caused by ignition of flammable products, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling fuel vapors or swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to skin and eyes exposed to fuel.	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.	AS47.00-Z-0001-01A

1	Completely drain pressure from the fuel system at valve (1) of high pressure pump (3)
2	Remove partition wall at top of firewall		AR62.20-P-1221A
3	Detach fuel lines (2) from high pressure pump (3)	In order to avoid leakage, do not squeeze or bend the fuel lines (2). After disassembly, close the connections. Ensure scrupulous cleanliness! Check sealing cone at fuel lines (2) and replace fuel lines (2) if pressure marks are visible. Pay attention to exact seating of fuel lines (2).

		 Union nut of return line at the high pressure pump	*BA07.02-P-1002-01B
4	Remove bolts (4)		*BA07.02-P-1003-01B
5	Take out high pressure pump (3)	 Installation: Replace seal (6). First loosely screw the fuel lines (2) onto the high pressure pump (3) and then mount the high pressure pump (3) onto the cylinder head, at the same time pay attention to the position from the drive (5) to the counterpart.
6	Install in the reverse order
 Danger!	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. 7	Check fuel system for leaks with engine running
8	Read out fault memory
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
