| Remove/install | ||
1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m) | ||
2 | Detach ground line from battery | ||
3 | Remove door lining on left or right rear door | ||
4 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (2) of left rear sidebag squib or right rear sidebag squib | ||
5 | Detach door foil (3) from inner door panel (4) until the sidebag unit (1) is accessible | ||
6 | Drill out rivets (5) | ||
7 | Remove sidebag unit (1) from inner door panel (4) | ||
8 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| Check | ||
9 | Check and erase vehicle fault memory using the diagnostic system | When replacing sidebag unit (1). | |
