8 | Remove tank cap central locking actuator (M14/10) from tank recess (1). For this purpose a helper should press the tank fitting (9) toward front. | Carefully push tank fitting (9) toward front Otherwise the hydraulic wiring harness (10) can be damaged. | |

9 | Disconnect electrical connector from tank cap central locking actuator (M14/10) and remove tank cap central locking actuator (M14/10) | ||

11 | Insert Ø 2.5 mm twist drill bit (11) into previously drilled holes (arrows B) and release front catch hooks (12) and insert long wedge (7) between tank recess (1) and rear fender (13) to prevent front catch hooks (12) from arresting. | Carefully position long wedge (7) Danger of damaging paint on rear fender (13). | |

21 | Carefully install sealing lip (arrow C) on tank recess (1) above tank cap (3) with 2 long wedges (7). | The long wedges (7) should not have burrs and sharp edges. The sealing lip (arrow C) is extremely fragile and can tear easily. | |
