2 | Mask off areas of the front door and bumper that are immediately adjacent to the left and right fender (7) with tape. | ||
3 | Remove left and right additional turn signal lamp. |

4 | Remove left and right underfloor paneling. |

5 | Remove splash guard. | When removing left fender (7). | |

6 | Remove mounting rail of the front left and right longitudinal member panel. |

7 | Open service flap (5) on the fender liner (9). | ||
8 | Remove spacer (15). | If installed. | |
9 | Remove screws (6). | ||
10 | Remove retaining clips (8). | ||
11 | Release fender liner (9) until the screws (11) are accessible. | To do so, remove nuts (10). | |
12 | Remove underbody protection in the area of the screws (11). | ||
13 | Remove screws (11). | ||
14 | Remove trim element from the triangular window. |

15 | Unscrew screw (14). | To do this, lift the sealing frame (13) of the triangular window as shown. | |
16 | Remove seal (1) in the area of the cover (3). | ||
17 | Remove cover (3). | For this purpose, remove retaining clips (2). | |
18 | Remove screws/bolts (4). | ||
19 | Open front door. | ||
20 | Remove screws (12). | ||
21 | Remove fender (7). | ||
22 | Remove damping (16). | If installed. | |

23 | Check retaining clips (2, 8) for damage. | If damage is present: | |

replace affected retaining clips (2, 8). | |||
| Install | ||
24 | Attach respective model badge to the fender (7). | When replacing fender (7). | |
25 | Position fender (7) on vehicle. | | |
26 | Insert damping (16) between the A-pillar and fender (7). | If installed. | |
