Risk of explosion caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Drain air conditioning system

 Installation: Evacuate, refill and check air conditioner for proper operation and leaks.

Remove headliner

 Installation: Mount headliner only after charging and testing the air conditioning.

Remove right air duct to passenger compartment

Unscrew nuts (1) and remove refrigerant lines (E, L)

 Installation: Fit refrigerant lines (D, E, L, M) with new sealing rings (2). Coat sealing rings (2) with compressor oil.



Seal off each of the openings of the refrigerant lines (D, E, L, M) on the roof air conditioning using stop plugs

Unscrew bolt (3)

 The refrigerant lines (D, M) are fastened in place with a bracket (4) behind the right air duct.

Unclip bracket (4) and swivel to one side

 Installation: Check bracket (4) for damage, replace if necessary.

Remove refrigerant lines (E, L)

Replace fluid reservoir

 After completing the work at the open refrigerant circuit, the accumulator must be replaced.
