3 Circlip
4 Vario roof cable eyelet
5 Bowden cable
6 Screw
7 Thrust bearing
8 Locking plate

Danger! | Risk of injury caused by body parts being trapped or crushed when working on partially open Vario roof (stop mode) or in its closing area as a result of the Vario roof suddenly collapsing | Secure Vario roof with a suitable special tool. | |
1 | Move Vario roof to intermediate position with Vario roof switch and secure. | ||

2 | Unhook tensile spring (2) on gate valve (1) | ||
3 | Unhook circlip (3) from Bowden cable eyelet (4) and Bowden cable (5). | ||
4 | Unscrew bolt (6) and remove thrust bearing (7). | Mark installation position of thrust bearing (7). | |
5 | Remove locking plate (8) | ||
6 | Take off gate valve (1) | ||
7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
8 | Check Bowden cables (5) for locking at C-pillar, adjust if necessary | ||
9 | Check adjustment of locking at C-pillar, correct if necessary |
