Remove/install

Remove support rod (2)

Lift vehicle with vehicle lift until nuts (3) are accessible

Unscrew bolts (4) with nuts (3) and remove support rod mount (5)

 Helper required to hold nut (3).

Lower vehicle

 Do not lower vehicle fully.

Unscrew bolts (7) and remove end stop (6)

Remove right sliding door entrance lamp (E98)

Pry out caps (8, 13) with screwdriver

 When reusing, do not damage lower guide rail (1).

 Punch caps (8, 13) with screwdriver in center and pry out.

 Installation: Replace caps (8, 13).

Remove screw/bolts (9)

Remove lower guide rail (1) from entrance

 Installation: Position lower sliding carriage in lower guide rail (1).

Install in the reverse order

Check adjustment for lower carriage, adjust if necessary
