Remove

Remove sealing frame (1) from rear door (2) on left and/or right.

Remove adhesive residues at rear door (2) using a surface conditioning disk and clean bonding surface.

Notes on removing adhesive residues and foils on paint and metal surfaces with surface conditioning disks

 Bonding surface must be free of grease and dust.

 Surface conditioning disk Ø 100 mm with attachment shaft, 3M Deutschland GmbH D-41453 Neuss.

Install

Remove spacer strip (3) by approx. 2 cm at one end of new sealing frame (1).

Glue sealing frame (1) onto rear door (2) starting at center of lower door edge.

 Spacer strip (3) of sealing frame (1) must be in contact with door paneling over its entire length, without gap.

Cut off sealing frame protrusion (1) at bottom edge of door and connect the two ends of the door frame seal (1).

 Cut off protrusion so that there is no gap between the two ends of sealing frame (1). Do not cut off protrusion at end of sealing frame (1) at which insert (4) protrudes.

Firmly roll on sealing frame (1) using a roller.

Completely remove spacer strip (3) from sealing frame (1) starting at detached end.
