Unscrew bolts (1) from door lock (2)

 Screw/bolt, door lock to door

Loosen bolt (4) on door handle bracket (5)

Detach window in front door (3) from window lifter

 Secure window in front door (3) against falling down.

Disconnect electrical connector (7) and remove electrical wiring harness (8) from door module

Disconnect electrical connectors (9)

Disconnect electrical connector (9.1)

Remove soundproofing (21)

 Installation: Ensure that dampening (21) is seated correctly.

Detach electrical wiring harnesses (6, 10) from door module (13)

Loosen grommets (11, 14) from door module (13)

Drill out all rivets (12) from door module (13)

Remove door module (13) until door handle bracket (5) can be detached

Detach door handle bracket (5) from front door (3)

Remove door module (13) together with door lock (2) and door handle bracket (5) from front door (3)

 Secure door module (13) against falling down.

Disconnect electrical connector (17) and guide electrical wiring harness (18) through opening in door module (13)

21

Guide cable (19) through opening in door module (13) and lay door lock (2) down to side together with door handle bracket (5)

Guide electrical wiring harness (10) through opening in door module (13)

Remove left front door woofer and right front door woofer from door module (13)

Remove left front power window motor and right front power window motor from door module (13)

Remove power window from door module (13)

Remove front door control unit from door module (13)

Completely remove rivet residues and drilling chips from front door (3)


Completely remove rivet residues.
Otherwise remaining rivet residues cause corrosion damage on front door (3).
