Remove

Move driver's seat to frontmost position

Move front passenger seat to frontmost position

Remove left head restraint on front passenger bench seat

Cut out partition window (1) with window removal tool and remove

Window cutter
Suction lifting device (for window removal and installation)

 Punch inserter for the cutting wire through adhesive seam at an easily accessible point.

Remove cup suction tools from partition window (1)



Clean

Cut back remaining adhesive material on body flange to approx. 1 mm and remove loose remaining adhesive material

If partition (2) is not replaced.

Suction off glass splinters and/or debris

 Commercially available devices/tools
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner

Cut back remaining adhesive material on removed partition window (1) to approx. 1 mm and remove loose remaining adhesive material

If partition window (1) is not replaced.



Install

Install cup suction tools on partition window (1)

 Commercially available devices/tools
Suction lifting device (for window removal and installation)

Apply primer to bonding area on the partition window (1)


Do not apply primer on residual adhesive material.
Otherwise, the adhesive effect will be impaired.

Apply primer to the primed surfaces on the new partition (2)

If a new partition (2) was installed.

 Observe primer flash-off time of 3 min.

Apply primer of the corresponding repair kit to the bonding surface on the installed partition (2)

If partition (2) was not replaced.


Do not apply primer on residual adhesive material.
Otherwise, the adhesive effect will be impaired.

Apply adhesive material to bonding area of partition window (1)

Position partition window (1), align and press on


Bond partition window (1) within 5 min.
Ensures that the adhesive force is not decreased.

 Center partition window (1) in relation to cutout in partition wall (2).

Secure partition window (1) to the partition (2) using suitable adhesive strips to prevent slipping

Remove cup suction tools from partition window (1)

Move driver's seat to original position

Move front passenger seat to original position
