Remove/install

Remove lower door trim of right or left sliding door.

Disconnect electrical connector (1).

Open cap of coupling (2).

Unclip coupling lower part (3.1) from coupling upper part (3.2) and unhook door catch cable (4) from coupling upper part (3.2).

 Installation: The door catch cable (4) must be hooked into the coupling lower part (3.1) free of tension.
Check door catch cable (4) for proper operation with cap of coupling (2) closed.

Pull electrical wiring harness (5) downwards out of the sliding door.

Remove lower guide rail for sliding door.

Disconnect electrical connectors (6, 7).

Create access to electrical wiring harness of flexible power duct (8) at entrance.

 Installation: Replace damaged fasteners.

Unclip flexible power duct (8) from sectional molding of protective foil (9).

 Installation: Do not grease the flexible power duct (8).

Mark installation position of bracket (10) on sliding door.

Detach bracket (10) with lower carriage (11) from sliding door.

 Installation: Align bracket (10) with markings.
Tighten screws slightly by hand.
Tighten screws to specified torque after adjustment.

Remove flexible power duct (8) together with lower carriage (11) and door catch cable (4).

Install in the reverse order

Adjust

Adjust lower carriage (11).
