Remove/install

Remove stabilizer bar (2).

Remove integral carrier (3).

Remove line guide (8) from bolts (6) and struts (9).

Model 447 with engine 780.702

 Installation: Check line guide (8) and retaining clips for damage.

 Clip remover

If damage is found,



Replace line guide (8) or damaged retaining clips.

Detach steering gear (1) from integral carrier (3).

 For this, detach nuts (4), and remove washers (5), bolts (6) and bracket (7).

 Nut/screw, steering gear to integral carrier or integral carrier diagonal strut

3.2

Remove struts (9).

Model 447 with engine 780.702

 To do so, remove the bolts (6). With this, the steering gear (1) is released from the integral carrier (3).

 Installation: Counterhold nuts (4) while tightening bolts (6).

Remove steering gear (1).

Install in the reverse order.

Enter new steering number of steering gear (1) via vehicle documentation (VeDoc) into on-line vehicle data card.

If the steering gear (1) was replaced.

 Redocumentation is absolutely essential.

Teach-in steering gear (1) using vehicle diagnosis system.

If the steering gear (1) was replaced.



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
