Remove

Remove corresponding rear axle shaft(37).

Pry radial shaft sealing ring(32a) out of rear axle differential(50) using a suitable tool.


Do not damage the seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (32a) in the rear axle differential (50).
Leakage will otherwise occur.

Clean sitting surface of radial shaft sealing ring(32a) in rear axle differential(50).

Assembly cleaner

Check sitting surface of radial shaft sealing ring(32a) in rear axle differential(50) for damage.

If damage is found,



Replace rear axle differential(50).

Install

Press in radial shaft sealing ring(32a) using drift(03) far enough so that the drift(03) makes contact on the rear axle differential(50).

 Drift

Coat sealing lip of radial shaft sealing ring(32a) with transmission oil.



Universal hypoid gear oils (specification 235.7)

 Replace radial shaft sealing ring(32a).

Install corresponding rear axle shaft(37).

Check and correct oil level in rear axle differential(50).
