Remove

Remove right intermediate shaft.

Pull radial shaft sealing ring (1) out of rear axle differential (2) using internal extractor, pull-off device and impact extractor.

 Connect  internal extractor and  slide hammer puller to threaded rod of  extraction tool.

Install

Moisten sealing lip of new radial shaft sealing ring (1) with transmission oil.



Transmission oils (specification 236.24)

Install new radial shaft sealing ring (1) using drift (3).

 The end stop and the extension of the scope of supply  drift are not required.

 Installation: Drift (3) must make contact with rear axle transmission (2) up to the end stop (arrow).
