Remove/install

Drain off front axle differential oil.

Remove corresponding front axle shaft.

Remove intermediate shaft (1) from front axle differential, using impact extractor (2) and extraction claw (3).

When removing the intermediate shaft (1) on the left.

 Installation: Lightly grease gearing of intermediate shaft (1).

Remove retaining ring (4) and remove intermediate shaft (1) from front axle differential, using impact extractor (2) and extraction claw (3).

When removing intermediate shaft (1) at right.

 Installation: Lightly grease gearing of intermediate shaft (1).

Remove radial shaft sealing ring at left.

When removing the intermediate shaft (1) on the left.
