Remove/install

Remove corresponding front axle brake disk.

Remove rpm sensor from steering knuckle (1).

Remove electric line of brakepad wear sensor from steering knuckle (1).

If the steering knuckle (1) on the right is replaced.

Remove ball head of tie rod from steering knuckle (1).

Mark position of steering knuckle (1) on suspension strut.

Remove transverse control arm from steering knuckle (1).

Remove cam bolt (2).

 Installation: Replace cam bolt (2) and nut. Only tighten with torque of 1st stage. Tightening to the 2nd to 3rd stage is conducted after the wheel alignment check.

Remove collar bolt (3) and remove steering knuckle with wheel hub.

 Installation: Observe marking made on suspension strut. Replace collar bolt (3) and nut. Only tighten with torque of 1st stage. Tightening to the 2nd to 3rd stage is conducted after the wheel alignment check.

Modify shield on transverse control arm supporting joint.

If the steering knuckle (1) is replaced.

Install in the reverse order

Perform chassis alignment.
