Remove

Lift vehicle on vehicle lift

Unscrew nuts (9), remove bolts (8) and remove torsion bar linkage (7) from longitudinal frame member

Remove bolts (6) and remove bracket (10)

Remove stabilizer bar (1) with elastomer bearings (4) and bearing shells (5)

Check elastomer bearing (4) for damage, replace, if necessary

Unscrew nuts (3), remove bolts (2) and remove torsion bar linkage (7) from stabilizer bar (1)

Check the elastomer bearings (4) of the torsion bar linkage (7) and the stabilizer bar (1)

For damage or wear



Replace the elastomer bearings on the torsion bar linkage (7) and the stabilizer bar (1).

Install

Position the torsion bar linkage (7) on the stabilizer bar (1) and tighten the bolts (2) with nuts (3) lightly by hand

 Replace nuts (3).

Position torsion bar linkage (7) on longitudinal frame member and tighten bolts (8) with nuts (9) lightly by hand

 Replace nuts (9).

Position stabilizer bar (1) with elastomer bearings (4) and bearing shells (5) on rear axle and tighten bolts (6) lightly by hand

Center stabilizer (1)

Tighten nuts (3, 9)

 Screw/bolt, torsion bar linkage to torsion bar/longitudinal frame member

Position bracket (10) and screw-in bolts (6)

 Screw/bolt, torsion bar clamp to rear axle tube
