1 | Remove suspension strut | ||

2 | Insert clamping plates in tensioning device and clamp in vise | | |

3 | Insert suspension strut in tensioning device | Mount clamping plates as close as possible to the ends of the springs (2). Pay attention to the compl. latching of the springs in the grooves of the clamping plates! | |

4 | Deflect the spring (2) of the suspension strut with the aid of the tool until the position nut (10) of the suspension strut is free from stress | ||
5 | Unscrew nut (10) and remove the upper stop plate (9) | | |
6 | Remove upper rubber mount (8), lower stop plate (7), thrust bearing (6) and lower rubber mount (5) from existing assembly complete | Hold damper and secure it to prevent it from falling down. | |
7 | Remove damper (1) | ||
8 | Detach protective boot (3) from damper | ||
9 | Pull rubber damper (4) off damper (1) | ||
10 | From the upper rubber mount (8), remove the lower stop plate (7), the thrust bearing (6) and the lower rubber mount (5) | Pay attention to the more exact position of all these parts! | |
11 | Deflect spring (2) and remove from tool | For subsequent further installation pay attention to the installation position of the spring! | |
| Assemble | ||

12 | Assembly takes place in the reverse sequence | ||
13 | Dispose of suspension strut. | ||
