Remove fully integrated transmission control (VGS) electric controller unit (N15/11).

Cleanliness must be ensured when performing work on the transmission.
Even the smallest of foreign particles in the hydraulic components of the transmission can lead to malfunctions or a total failure of the transmission.

 For cleaning, use lint-free cleaning cloth. Chamois leathers are the most suitable.

Remove rear engine mounting bracket.

 Screw/bolt, rear bracket to transmission

Remove screw plug (85s).

 Screw plug to transmission, rear

Pull out the bearing pin (85) using a bar magnet.

 Installation: The chamfered side of the bearing pin (85) must face towards the transmission.

Remove screw plug (84s).

 Screw plug to transmission, rear

Press the park detent (83) as far as possible against the spring (83f) and pull out the pilot bushing (84) using a bar magnet.

Remove park detent (83) together with spring (83f).

 Installation: Press spring (83f) onto stud (arrow) of park detent (83) and install both components in transmission housing (1).

Install in the reverse order

 Automatic transmission complete
