Unscrew starter (2)

The electrical connections remain installed.

Remove cover (3) on the oil pan

Unscrew bolts (4)

1 Crank the engine at the crankshaft until the bolts (4) are accessible.
Continue turning the engine respectively by approx. 120° in direction of engine rotation.

Screw in bolts (5) around circumference of transmission

Installation: The transmission (5) must abut the engine correctly, do not draw together with bolts.

Separate transmission (5) from engine (1) using lifting device (6) and put down securely

Ensure that the torque converter (7) remains in the oil pump guide, if necessary.

Installation: Screw studs (8) M830 mm into the thread on the torque converter (7) (installation aid). When inserting the transmission 5, the stud (8) must engage in the bore suitable for this on the drive plate (9). After installing the transmission (5) unscrew the stud (8) through the opening in the oil pan (3) again.
