Remove/install

Remove transmission.

Unscrew screws (1) and remove clutch pressure plate (2) with clutch plate (3).

 Installation:
Tighten the screws (1) in stages in a crosswise sequence.
Otherwise the clutch pressure plate (2) will be damaged.

 Installation:
Make sure that the direction of installation of the clutch plate (3) is correct.
Otherwise the clutch plate (3) and transmission will be damaged.

 Installation: Center clutch plate (3) using   centering tool.

 Screw/bolt, clutch pressure plate to flywheel or two-mass flywheel

Check clutch pressure plate (2) and clutch plate (3).

Check central clutch release bearing for noise, rough operation, leaks and wear; replace if necessary.

Check starter ring gear and flywheel (4) for damage and wear; replace if necessary.

Check radial shaft sealing ring of transmission input shaft for leak tightness; replace if necessary.

Clean friction surfaces (2a, 4a), degrease and dress with abrasive cloth.
