Drain coolant

Separate connector at coolant fan motor (M4/2)

Do not damage catch lug, otherwise the plug does no longer lock.

Discharge air conditioning system

Remove outside temperature display temperature sensor (B14)

Remove AC lines (2) at capacitor (4), remove sealing rings and close AC lines (2)

Remove mounting clip and washers on the radiator unit (5)

Slacken radiator unit (5) out of mounts

Remove upper coolant hose (6) at the radiator unit (5)

Remove radiator unit (5)

Protect air conditioning circuit and components from moisture when carrying out repair work

Replace filter drier

Replace the fluid reservoir every time you open up the refrigeration circuit. When a receiver/dryer is left open, the dryer unit quickly becomes saturated with moisture, rendering it useless.
