| Protect air conditioning circuit and components from moisture when carrying out repair work | ||
1 | Remove front CBS | ||
2 | Remove CMS Front | ||
3 | Remove radiator unit | ||
4 | Machine module carrier (2) | Picture A: Only when it is removed the first time, the pre-punched area (arrows) has also to be detached at the module carrier (2). | |
5 | Screw bolt (1) into the plug (3) | Any commercially available bolt (1) with thread M5 may be used. | |
6 | Loosen snap ring (4) | To do this, move the plug (3) 1 mm into the installation space of the drier (6) using gentle taps. | |
Use rubber hammer. | |||
7 | Remove snap ring (4) on condenser (5) and take out the plug (3) | ||
8 | Pull out drier (6) | ||

9 | Insert drier (6) | Ensure that no dirt penetrates the installation space. | |
10 | Insert plug (3) into condenser (5) and secure with snap ring (4) | Replace plug (3) with sealing rings. Plug (3) and sealing rings are included in the drier (6) package contents. | |
Coat sealing rings on the plug (3) with compressor oil. | |||
Clamp snap ring (4) by gently tapping out the plug (3). | |||
11 | Remove bolt (1) out of plug (3) | ||
12 | Install radiator unit | ||
13 | Install CMS front | ||
14 | Install front CBS |
