 Danger !

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Drain off coolant

Remove poly-V belt from belt pulley for coolant pump (1)

Remove guide pulley (2)

 Remove screw/bolt (3) to do this.

 Bolt, guide pulley to major assembly carrier

Remove coolant hose (4) and lay outside the working area

Remove tensioning device (5)

 To do so, remove the screw/bolts (6).

 Bolt, poly-V belt tensioning device to major assembly carrier

Remove bracket (7) from coolant manifold (11)

 Remove screw/bolt (8) to do this.

Remove screw/bolt (9) and swivel bracket (7) away out of working area

Remove coolant hose (10) from coolant manifold (11)


Do not bend or deform the catch springs.
Correct locking upon connecting the coolant hose (10) will no longer be possible otherwise.

 Collect flowing out coolant in a suitable container.

 Installation: Check sealing lip of coolant hose (10) and replace as per findings.

Remove line bracket (12) from coolant pump (1)

Remove vacuum hose (13) from coolant pump (1)

Remove coolant hose (14) from coolant pump (1)

 Collect flowing out coolant in a suitable container.

Remove coolant pump (1)

 To do this, remove the screw/bolts (15). Collect flowing out coolant in a suitable container.

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and replace gasket.

Only when replacing coolant pump (1) or coolant manifold (11).

 To do so, remove screws/bolts (16).

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and replace gasket.
