 Warning

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove the alternator

Remove coolant hose (8) from elbow fitting (10) and seal openings with protective covers.

Remove coolant line (9) from coolant circulation pump for transmission oil cooling (M13/7) and seal openings with protective covers.

Remove coolant hose (4) from the cooler and seal openings with protective covers.

Remove elbow fitting (10) from coolant pump (11) and seal openings with protective covers.

Remove coolant hose (5) from coolant thermostat (1) and seal exposed connections with protective covers.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (2).

Remove cable bracket (3) from coolant thermostat (1).

 Clip remover

Release and disconnect the electrical connector (6) from the coolant thermostat (1).

Remove screws (7).

 Installation: Observe tightening procedure.

Remove coolant thermostat (1).

 Installation: Replace seal and O-ring.

Clean sealing surfaces with a lint-free rag.

Install in the reverse order.
