Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

1

Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.

Remove alternator from crankcase.

 Do not remove electrical lines.

Remove cable ties from oil dipstick tube (1) and place electrical wiring harness (4) to one side.

 Installation: Replace cable tie.

Remove oil dipstick.

Remove screw/bolt (2).

Remove oil dipstick tube (1).

 Seal opening on oil pan.

 Installation: Check seal (3).

 Record plug

Depending on the findings,



Replace seal (3).

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check engine oil level.


The engine oil level must not lie above the maximum marking.
Engine damage can occur otherwise.

If engine oil level is incorrect,



Correct engine oil level.


