Drain off coolant.

Unscrew the screw (1) from the holder of the alternator wiring harness (2) on the crankcase.

Remove the high-voltage line (12) from the heat exchanger (4) and place to one side.

Remove the coolant hoses (3) from the heat exchanger (4) and seal the openings with suitable stop plugs.

 Record plug

Remove the screws (6, 7, 8, 9) in reverse numerical order.

 Installation: First lightly tighten the screws (6, 7, 8, 9) by hand.
Observe tightening sequence.

Remove heat exchanger (4).

Remove seals (5).

 Installation: Install new seals (5).

Remove oil pressure relief valve (10).

 Installation: Replace oil pressure relief valve (10).



Clean

Clean contact and sealing surfaces.


The contact and sealing surfaces must be free of oil and grease.
Leaks can occur otherwise.
