Disconnecting, connecting engine wiring harness
1 Disconnect wiring harness (3) at the fuse box (2).
Replace self-locking nut.
2 Take off fuse box (2) and wiring harness (1) at positive terminal of battery.
3 Expose wiring harnesses (1, 3) up to the engine.
4 Unplug plug (5) at preglow relay (4) and expose wiring harness to engine

5 Detach plug sockets (6, 8) at CDI control unit.
Pull out locking clamp at plug sockets (6, 8) to the side.
First of all detach plug socket (6), as this can block the plug socket (8).
6 Disconnect connector (7).

7 Pull locking latch (9) out of plug socket (8).
8 Press multipoint connectors (10, 11) out of plug socket (8).
Installation: Ensure correct position of multipoint connectors (10, 11) in the plug socket (8).

9 Pull out engine wiring harness (13) together with grommet (12) toward engine compartment and expose up to the engine.

10 Unplug plug at mass air flow sensor (14), pressure sensor (16) and oxygen sensor (15).
Disconnect tie strap (arrow) and replace.
11 Expose wiring harness (17) up to the engine.
Installation: Ensure correct routing of the wiring harness (17).
12 Connect in opposite order.
