Remove cap of NOx reducing agent tank.

Remove small quantity of AdBlue® from filler neck of NOx reducing agent tank with a pipette.

If NOx reducing agent tank is completely filled.



Suction off small quantity of AdBlue® from NOx reducing agent tank.

If NOx reducing agent tank is not completely filled.

Place 1   to2 drops of AdBlue® onto prism (1) of refractometer (5) and close hinged lid (2).


Bring only the prism (1) and the hinged lid (2) into contact with the fluid.
Otherwise, AdBlue® may get into the refractometer (5) and damage it.

Bring the scales of scale (B) for AdBlue® into focus by turning the eyepiece (4).

 To do this, look through the eyepiece (4) against a light background when turning.

Read off measurement value at light/dark boundary of scale (B) for AdBlue®.

If necessary



Turn setting screw (3) carefully with a screwdriver so that the light/dark boundary matches the zero line (water line).

If AdBlue® concentration is too low,



Replace AdBlue®.

Carefully remove AdBlue® from prism (1) and hinged lid (2).


Bring only the prism (1) and the hinged lid (2) into contact with the fluid.
AdBlue® can find its way into the refractometer (5) otherwise and make it unusable.

 Only use water without any additive as a cleaning agent.



Install

Attach cap of NOx reducing agent tank.
