Detach fuel hoses (6, 7) at fuel line

Installation: Check hose clamps, replace if necessary

Detach coolant hose (5) at charge air distribution tube (1)

Pull spring upwards.

Installation: Replace sealing ring of charge air hose (5)

Unplug plug at exhaust gas recirculation positioner (2)

Detach coolant hose (4) at exhaust gas recirculation positioner (2)

Remove rail (8)

Detach rail bracket (9) at cylinder head

Unscrew bolts (11) at charge air distribution tube (1)

Installation: Pay attention to different lengths of bolts.

Take out gasket (10) of charge air distribution tube (1)

Installation: Fix gasket (10) with two bolts (11) at charge air distribution tube (1) (arrows)

Take out charge air distribution tube (1) upwards

Install in the reverse order

Danger!

Risk of explosion. Fuel may ignite and explode. Risk of injury. Fuel may stream out and cause injury to eyes or skin.

Keep all ignition sources out of hazardous area.

Do not carry out any work on systems when they are under pressure

Inspect fuel system for leaks

Run engine, switch off and inspect for leaks.
