Remove

Connect diagnostic system and begin commissioning of the CDI control unit (N3/36).

Only when replacing the CDI control unit (N3/36).



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

Remove air filter housing.

Release and disconnect the electrical connections (1).

Remove screws (2).

Remove CDI control unit (N3/36).

 To do this pull out CDI control unit (N3/36) to the front from retaining frame (3).

Install in the reverse order.



Install

Install CDI control unit (N3/36) in the bracket (3).

Screw in screw/bolts (2).

 Bolt, control unit to bracket

Connect electrical connectors (1).

Install air filter housing.

Complete commissioning of the CDI control unit (N3/36).

Only when replacing the CDI control unit (N3/36).

Disconnect diagnostic system.

Only when replacing the CDI control unit (N3/36).



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
