Remove/install

Remove trim panel of cylinder head cover

Disconnect temperature sensor connector upstream of turbocharger (B19/11x1)

Remove cable binder (3) and detach wiring harness (1) for temperature sensor upstream of turbocharger (B19/11) from bracket (2)

Remove temperature sensor upstream of turbocharger (B19/11) from exhaust manifold

Installation: Coat temperature sensor upstream of turbochargerB19/11) with heat-resistant lubricant before installing.

Install in the reverse order

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the running engine

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Carry out engine test run and in doing so, check exhaust system in the area of the temperature sensor upstream of turbocharger (B19/11) for leaks

Read fault memory, erase if necessary

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
