Risk of explosion caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contactwith fuel.

No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.

Remove/install

Remove engine cover.

Remove bracket (3) of glow output stage (4) and place to one side.

 Do not disconnect electrical connectors of glow output stage (4).

Remove trim of right cylinder head cover.

Remove trim of left cylinder head cover.

Remove rail of left cylinder bank.

Turn anti-twist locks (2.1) of locks (2) toward left and remove leak oil line (1) upwards from fuel injectors.

 Seal connections of leak oil line (1) and fuel injectors.

 Installation: Connections of leak oil line (1) must audibly engage at fuel injectors.

 Record plug

Unclip leak oil line (1) at coolant thermostat (5).

Release safety clip (6) and remove leak oil line (1) from fuel line (7).

 Seal connections of leak oil line (1) and fuel line (7).

 Installation: Check sealing ring of leak oil line (1) to fuel line (7) for damage.

 Record plug

Depending on the findings,



Replace leak oil line (1).

Guide out leak oil line (1) at right and left cylinder head and remove.

 Installation: Pay attention to installation position of the leak oil line (1).



Check

Check sealing rings at fuel injectors for leak oil line (1) for damage.

Depending on the findings,



Replace damaged sealing rings.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Check for leaktightness when engine is running.
