 	Remove/install
1	Remove camshaft housing		AR05.20-D-6995R
2	Position the piston of the cylinder to be worked to TDC	 Turn engine at crankshaft; in doing so lift up timing chain. Jamming of the timing chain can otherwise lead damage of the crank assembly.

3	Install retaining lock for crankshaft/starter ring gear		AR03.30-D-5000R
4	Seal injector bore with connector (1)	 The  connector (1) is attached with the original clamping claw and a suitable base.

5	Screw connection fitting without check valve on the connector (1)	 Compression tester	*001589782100

6	Apply a compressed air at approx. 5 bar to the cylinder to be machined
7	Fit the valve assembly tool (2) onto the cylinder head	  Screw the retaining fork into the threaded hole at the cylinder head and attach the thrust piece vertically at the upper valve spring retainer (3).

8	Press together the valve spring (4) using the valve assembly tool (2) and remove the valve keepers (5) with the magnetic pin (6)	 Installation: Perform a visual inspection of the valve keeper (5) and replace if necessary. Ensure that valve keepers (5) are seated correctly.

9	Remove upper valve spring retainer (3) and valve spring (4)	 Installation: Replace upper valve spring retainer (3) and check valve spring (4) and replace if necessary.
10	Detach valve stem seal (7) using pliers (10)	 Installation: Fit protective sleeve onto valve stem, lubricate valve stem seal (7) and press on with  drift (8).

11	Remove lower valve spring retainer (9)	 Installation: Check lower valve spring retainer (9) and replace if necessary.

12	Check surface of valve stems in the area of the valve keepers (5) for roughness and ridging	 Perform visual inspection or finger nail test.
		If valve stems are damaged, replace valves, see.
		
		Remove/install valves

13	Install in the reverse order
