Remove

1

Remove spark plugs.

Remove cylinder head cover.

Remove screws (8) and remove cover (7).

Remove filler neck for engine oil.



Check

5

Attach holding device (1), as shown, without catches (4) with 2 screws of the cylinder head cover.

Attach dial indicator (3) with bracket (2) and 2 measuring rod extensions, as shown, to determine the top dead center (TDC) of cylinder 1 to the holding device (1).

Position piston of cylinder 1 by turning the crankshaft on the belt pulley to ignition TDC.

Remove dial indicator (3) with bracket (2).

Insert catches (4) into the holding device (1).

If the catches (4) cannot be inserted,



Remove timing chain and set timing.

Remove holding device (1) with catches (4).



Clean

Clean sealing surface of the filler neck for engine oil.

Clean bore for the filler neck for engine oil in the timing case cover.



Install

Attach filler neck for engine oil.

Install cover (7) with screws (8).

15

Install cylinder head cover.
