Place engine at TDC for cylinder 1

The mark (4) on the crankshaft gear (7) must point vertically downwards. The marking (2) on the camshaft sprocket (5) and the marking (3) on the camshaft positioner (6) must point upwards.

Remove chain tensioner (8)

Remove tensioning rail (9)

Remove camshaft sprocket (5)

Remove timing chain (1) from camshaft positioner (6) and crankshaft gear (7)

Install

Lay timing chain (1) onto camshaft positioner (6) and crankshaft gear (7)

The color codings (arrows) on the timing chain (1) must coincide with the mark (3) on the camshaft positioner (6) and the mark (4) on the crankshaft gear (7).
