| Remove timing case cover
| Insert a suitable Allen wrench (3) into the bore of the chain tensioner (1) and thus press the clamping lever (4) of the chain tensioner (1) as far as possible in the direction of the piston (2).
| Push in piston (2) by pressing fully on the tensioning rail (5) into the chain tensioner (1) | The chain tensioner (1) must be replaced after each pressing in of the piston (2).
| Pull the Allen wrench (3) out of the bore of the chain tensioner (1) then allow the piston (2) to shift slowly out of the chain tensioner (1) until the bores of the clamping lever (4) and the chain tensioner (1) are exactly opposing each other.
| Insert Allen wrench (3) through the bores of the clamping lever (4) and the chain tensioner (1)
| Remove screw/bolts (6)
| Remove chain tensioner (1) from crankcase
| Pull Allen wrench (3) out of the bore of the chain tensioner (1)
| Install | ||
| Lay new chain tensioner (1) on the crankcase and tighten down with screw/bolts (6)
