Remove cover over engine.

Installation: Only install covering over engine after the leak test.

Remove hose (3).

Remove vent hose (6) from the vent housing (5).

Remove vent hose (6) from the working area and fix in place.

Unscrew screw/bolts (4).

Remove vent housing (5) upward.

Installation: Replace seal.

Unscrew screws (7).

Remove ignition coil for cylinder 1 (T1/1), ignition coil for cylinder 2 (T1/2), and ignition coil for cylinder 3 (T1/3).

Disconnect engine wiring harness (13) in the area of the cylinder head cover (1) and remove from the working area.

Remove catalytic converter (10).

Remove heat shields (8, 9) from the catalytic converter (10) and place to one side.

Release cylinder head cover (1) from the cylinder head and timing case cover and remove.

Installation: Replace seal on cylinder head cover (1).
Apply sealing compound in the area of the joint edge of the cylinder head and timing case cover.

Remove remaining sealing compound in the area of the joint edge of the cylinder head and timing case cover.

Install in the reverse order.
