Remove

Remove transmission.

Install retaining lock for crankshaft / starter ring gear.

Loosen screws (1 to 6).


Do not use impact wrenches or similar pneumatic tools to loosen screws (1 to 6).
Failure to observe will damage the thread in the crankshaft flange.

Unscrew screws (1 to 6) and remove flywheel/drive plate (7).

 Aid of helper required.



Check

Check rear radial shaft sealing ring on crankshaft for leak tightness and damage.

If a problem is identified,



replace rear radial shaft sealing ring at the crankshaft.

Install

Position flywheel/drive plate (7) on crankshaft.

 Aid of helper required.

 The dowel pin for the crankshaft determines the installation position of the flywheel/drive plate (7).

Slightly tighten screws (1 to 6) by hand and tighten in numerical order as per the figure.

Remove retaining lock for crankshaft/starter ring gear.

Install transmission.
