Remove

Remove crankcase lower section.

Install retaining lock for crankshaft.

Attach assembly tool (3) and fix balance shafts (1) in place.

Loosen screws (2).

Release balance shafts (1) by impacting lightly the head of the screws(2).

Remove screws (2).

Remove assembly tool (3).

Remove balance shafts (1) in the direction of the arrow (arrows) from the crankshaft bearing caps (4).



Check

9

Check components of the balance shafts(1) for damage.

If damage is present,



Replace corresponding component.



Install

Wet balance shafts (1) with engine oil and install them in the opposite direction to the arrow (arrows).



Move balance shafts (1) to basic position with assembly tool (3) and fix in place.

Screw in new screws (2).
