Install/remove

Remove resonator box.

Set piston of the 1st cylinder onto the top dead center (ignition TDC).

Turn engine to top dead center position

Only rotate the crankshaft in the direction of rotation of the engine.
The timing chain can skip otherwise and cause engine damage.

Remove belt pulley/vibration damper.

Install retaining lock (1) at crankshaft and tighten screw (2).

Press locating pin (3) into opening at crankcase (4) as far as end stop.

If necessary, turn engine at retaining lock (1) in direction of engine rotation.

Removal in the reverse order.
