Remove/install

Remove ignition coils

Remove hose (2) from cylinder head cover (1)

 To do this, open clamp (3).

 Hose clamp pliers

Remove hose (4) from cylinder head cover (1)

 To do this, open clamp (5).

 Hose clamp pliers

Disconnect fuel line (6) at connecting point (7)

 Collect fuel which runs out in a suitable container.

Seal fuel line (6) and connection on fuel distributor using suitable stop plugs

 Record plug

Remove fuel line (6) and place outside of working area

 To do so, unclip fuel line (6) from brackets (8, 9).

Remove wiring harness (10) from cylinder head cover (1)

 To do so, unclip cable ties (11, 12).

Remove wiring harness (13) from cylinder head cover (1)

 To do so, unclip cable tie (14).

Notes on sealant path for cylinder head cover

 To do this unscrew screw/bolts in reverse order of the tightening procedure.

 Installation: Replace seal (15) of cylinder head cover (1). Tighten screw/bolts according to the tightening procedure.

Clean

Clean sealing surfaces on cylinder head cover (1) and cylinder head

Install in the reverse order



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
