5	Crank engine several times through actuation of the contact switch (arrow) at compression tester (1.1)	 To eliminate combustion residues in cylinder. Do not crank engine via ignition/starter switch.

6	Use socket wrench insert (3) to screw connection piece (2) into the glow plug hole of the cylinder to be inspected	 A check valve is integrated in the front of connection piece (2).

7	Connect flexible connecting piece (1.2) to the compression tester (1.1)		*001589762100
8	Connect flexible connecting piece (1.2) to the connection piece (2)	 Do not damage injection line (4). Use angle piece (1.3) on engine 612.981 at 5th cylinder.

9	Crank engine for at least 8 revolutions through actuation of the contact switch (arrow) at compression tester (1.1)	Do not crank engine via ignition/starter switch.

10	Compare measured compression pressure with the specified test values	Installation tolerance or value when new	*BE01.00-P-1001-01A

		Permissible difference between individual cylinders	*BE01.00-P-1003-01A
		 If the pressure is below the minimum compression pressure or if the permissible difference between the individual cylinders is exceeded: 

11	Carry out test procedure at the remaining cylinders in the same way
