Risk of explosion due to escaping combustible gas or overheating of gas cylinders.Risk of injury caused by burns to skin and eyes. Risk of frostbite to body parts caused by escaping gas and by touching components near the valves when emptying gas cylinders. Risk of poisoning or suffocation caused by inhaling gas.

Remove any sources of ignition.
Protective clothing, safety gloves and safety glasses must always be worn.
Ensure that the work area is adequately ventilated.
When working on vehicles at ambient temperatures over 60 °C, all gas cylinders must be removed.

Remove/install

Remove organizer bag (1)

Fold up rotating cabinet (2)

Remove cover (3)

Do this by opening the quick-release fittings (4).

Installation: Check for correct installation position of cover (3).

Close valve (5)

Unscrew hose line (7) from pressure regulator (6)

Threaded connection is a left-hand thread.

Remove drawer under cooker

Open gas shut-off cock (8)

Close valves of cooker

Connect leak tester to hose line (7)

Check

Visually inspect hose line (7) and piping (9)


After expiry of 10 a the pressure control device (6) and the hose line (7) have to be replaced.
Otherwise, the safety of the gas system can no longer be assured.

The pressure class "PB6" and the manufacturing date are printed onto the hose line (7).

Use genuine MB parts only.

Pressurize hose line (7) and piping (9) using leak tester at 150 mbar

The hose line (7) and piping (9) are checked at a pressure of 150 mbar.

After a waiting time of 5 minutes the pressure is read off, after another 5 minutes the measured pressure may drop by a maximum of 10 mbar.

If the pressure drop is greater than 10 mbar

Use suitable leak detector to localize the leak and rectify it, then repeat the test
