Remove the air inlet and outlet valve

Weigh the float (2) and check if the surface is damaged (arrow)

Weigh the float (2) and compare with the specified value

If the specified weight is exceeded, the retarder operation is impaired. Replace the complete air inlet and outlet valve.

Place the valve element (1) on the float (2), weigh with the ring (3) and fill the void between the float (2) and the upper surface of valve element with a refill

If the fluid level changes within a minute: replace the complete air inlet and outlet valve.

Install the air inlet and outlet valve
