Remove/install

Danger!

Risk of explosion caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged.

Remove evaporator unit paneling

Unscrew refrigerant line (7) from solenoid valve (8)

Use new sealing ring. Coat sealing ring with refrigeration oil before installation.

Detach refrigerant line (10) from expansion valve (9)

Use new sealing ring. Coat sealing ring with refrigeration oil before installation.

Seal off condensation hose (2) on the left and right side of the evaporator unit

Disconnect connector (11) and lay aside cable bundles routed in the area of the evaporator unit

Unscrew sheet metal screws (6)

Support evaporator unit (1) and unscrew bolts (3) with washers (5) and damping washers (4)

Use new damping washers (4).

Install in the reverse order

Only attach evaporator unit paneling after the air conditioning has been topped up and checked.

Evacuate the air conditioning system, refill it, and then check the system to make sure that it functions correctly and does not leak.
