 Warning

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Remove radiator

Remove guide tube of oil dipstick

Remove coolant hoses (1, 2)

 Installation: Check clamps; replace as required.

Remove coolant hose (3)

 Installation: Check clamp; replace as required.

Remove vacuum hose (4)

Remove coolant line (5)

 Installation: Check lock; replace coolant line (5) as required.

Remove coolant hoses (6, 7)

 Installation: Check clamps; replace as required.

Remove screw/bolts (8)

 Screw/bolt, connection fitting to crankcase

Remove coolant hose (9) at coolant thermostat housing (15).

 Installation: Check clamp; replace as required.

Remove connection fitting (10)

 Installation: Replace sealing ring (11).

Remove screw/bolt (12)

 Screw/bolt, housing for coolant thermostat to crankcase

Remove coolant hose (13) from coolant pipe (14)

Remove coolant thermostat housing (15)

Modify coolant hoses (9, 13)

Only carry out when replacing the connection fitting (10) and coolant thermostat housing (15).

 Installation: Check clamps; replace as required.

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check cooling circuit for leaktightness

 Coolant pump, coolant thermostat
