Drain

 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Loosen the pressure cap (1) to reduce the pressure in the cooling system.


Never open the radiator cap while the coolant is in hot condition. Drain the coolant only after it has cooled sufficiently.
To avoid getting scald.

Loosen drain screw (2) from radiator and collect coolant in a clean container.

 Tighten the drain screw after the coolant has drained.
Check and reuse the coolant drain screw O-ring to prevent coolant leakage.

Remove the crankcase drain screw (3) from oil cooler unit.

 Collect coolant in a clean container.

Fill

Install the crankcase drain screw (3) to the oil cooler unit.


Avoid over tightening of the coolant drain screw.
Failure to follow this to be lead damage of the drain screw.

 Ensure that the coolant drain screw is properly tightened.
Use only recommended coolant and quantity.

Install drain screw (2) to the radiator.

 Tighten the drain screw using suitable pliers.

Fill coolant through filler plug in the coolant expansion reservoir (4).


Avoid remove the pressure relief cap immediately after running the engine.
This may cause injuries.

Check level of coolant in coolant expansion reservoir (4) to be filled up to maximum level and tighten the pressure cap (1) properly.


Ensure the O-ring of the coolant expansion reservoir cap is properly tightened to avoid any space between the cap and O-ring.
Failure to follow lead to coolant leakage.



Check

Start and run the engine for about 5 minutes and check the coolant level in the coolant expansion reservoir.

 Fill coolant till maximum level.

Visually inspect hoses for any leakages.
